The champion returns in front of his home crowd: Batinić defends the belt against Ramos!

Batinić will defend his belt for the first time, facing off against a rising fighter from the Pula-based Trojan Team

Last year, Matej Batinić (33, 20-5) had to withdraw from FNC 20 at Zagreb Arena due to health issues, but now he’s returning in front of his home crowd to defend his light heavyweight belt for the first time at FNC 24.

He won the title back in 2023 at FNC 12 in the Pula Arena, when he submitted Gadzhimurad Khebdeev (33, 8-1) in the fifth round. Under the guidance of the legendary Mirko Cro Cop Filipović, he’s preparing for this challenge.

Standing opposite him will be the dangerous Slovenian Cuban, Andres Ramos (31, 6-1), who has fought all seven of his matches inside the FNC cage. Last year, after Batinić’s withdrawal, he bravely stepped in just two days before the event to face UFC veteran Krzysztof Jotko (35, 26-6), losing by technical knockout in the second round. Ramos bounced back with a win over Valeri Atanasov (36, 3-1) at FNC 22, earning himself a shot at the belt.

This will be a five-round fight, with each round lasting five minutes. A full night of fighting action awaits - tickets are available now through the Eventim system.
