The 'Azeri Lion' Abbasov against UFC veteran Rony 'Jason' in Sarajevo

The Brazilian was supposed to go for the organization's title, but now he faces a young 'lion' in what could be a bout for the next contender in the featherweight category

Less than a month separates us from the FNC 14 spectacle to end the year in Sarajevo, and after the main event, we bring you the first fight we will see in Zetra. It will be a clash of the 'Azeri lion' fighting under the Israeli flag, Tariel Abbasov (27, 8-0), against the UFC veteran who has already shown his class in the FNC cage, the Brazilian Rony 'Jason' (39, 17-10-1)!

Tariel is an undefeated fighter with a streak of eight victories, and he last triumphed in Bugojno six months ago when he finished Peyman Haciev (31, 9-5) with a rear-naked choke after three minutes of the third round. It will be his return to the land of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also the biggest test of his career that could propel him towards the UFC, possibly even towards a title shot in FNC.

On the other side stands an experienced fighter who has been through everything Tariel 'aims for.' He has nine matches in the UFC, with four victories, four losses, and one no contest. He comes to Sarajevo after two consecutive wins. He claimed a significant 'scalp' in Fight Nation Championship after knocking out Filip Pejić (31, 16-8-2) in the first round with an excellent counter in the Arena Zagreb in May of this year. He was supposed to fight for the featherweight title against Jordan Barton (30, 8-3-1) in September in Pula, but the match was postponed due to the injury of the English fighter.

It will be a three-round bout in the featherweight category, and tickets for the spectacle, as well as PPV information, will be available soon.
