The second edition of FNC Vikings took place on Saturday, June 13, at the American Top Team gym in Zagreb. Fans witnessed outstanding amateur bouts, seven new tournament champions were crowned, and, as the perfect finale, three spectacular superfights all ended in emphatic first-round finishes.
In the main event, Dana Aghaie delivered a stunning spinning elbow knockout against Rinor Gashi in their featherweight clash. Earlier in the evening, Sulejman Romanczyk secured a lightweight victory over Nemanja Nikolić with a powerful slam followed by ground-and-pound strikes. The first superfight of the night took place at welterweight, where Anže Vujčić knocked out Ramiz Lupić.
As for the amateur tournament, Said Musawi claimed the bantamweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Fetai Afet. He was followed by Yunus Guerler, who also earned a decision win, defeating Arber Bricori in the featherweight final. In the lightweight division, Furkan Ugur impressed with a submission victory over Uroš Vučinić, while Nikos Kortsalis defeated Patrick Jerković in the super welterweight category.
Just as he did in the first edition of the tournament, Jan Gojsalić emerged victorious in the middleweight division, this time overcoming young Abdul Pliev. The light heavyweight title went to Rene Hercog, who earned a unanimous decision win over Marko Nosan. In the heavyweight final, Joshua Homberg secured the championship by submitting Petar Pejić in the opening round.
There is little time to rest, as the next event is already around the corner. In just one week, on Saturday, June 20, FNC 32 powered by Supersport arrives in Osijek, bringing another dose of adrenaline before the summer break.
