FNC 35: Zdravković remains on the throne, Dobrijević defeats Bubanja once again

Another spectacular night of combat sports is behind us as Fight Nation Championship returned to the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica for the second time with FNC 35 powered by Meridianbet. A packed Morača Sports Hall witnessed ten exciting fights, with bantamweight champion Miljan Zdravković retaining his title after defeating Joaquin Vargas in the main event.

The Serbian fighter dominated the bout before securing a submission victory by choke in the fourth round. In the co-main event and the first K-1 fight in the organization's history, Rade Opačić was awarded the victory after referee Tomislav Novosel disqualified Alexandr Soldatkin for repeatedly taking the Serbian fighter down using wrestling techniques. Ivan Sičaja returned to the cage for the first time since losing his featherweight title and made an impressive comeback, dominating Alan Villalba before submitting him with a choke in the opening round.

We also witnessed an Ultimate Boxing clash in which hometown fighter Dejan Zlatičanin forced Romania's Florin Lupu to retire. Tomislav Sičaja displayed exceptional tactical maturity, defeating Andrija Stanković by unanimous decision after three rounds, while Karomatulo Sufiev finished Piotr Niedzielski late in the first round.

After waiting a year for his rematch against Stefan Dobrijević, Luka Bubanja finally got his chance, but the outcome remained the same. The fighter from Banja Luka emerged victorious once again, this time by unanimous decision. In the lightweight division, Emrah Sönmez made a successful FNC debut, also earning a unanimous decision victory over Paweł Polityło.

In the opening part of the evening, Kiril Negru extended his winning streak with a victory over Botond Petrenyi, while Mert Basbudak kicked off the event with a win against hometown fighter Mensur Kijamet.

FNC now has just over a month off before returning on December 19 with FNC 36 powered by Supersport at Dvorana Mladosti in Rijeka.
