A new welterweight champion will be crowned: Negucić vs. Kraska for the vacant title!

After the champion vacated the title, the welterweight division will crown a new ‘king’ in Belgrade.

With former champion Nikola Joksović (30, 16-0) vacating the title, the FNC welterweight belt was left up for grabs. At the FNC 20 event in Zagreb, two finalists emerged from a mini-tournament to earn their shot at the title. Now, at Ahilej FNC 23 powered by Meridianbet in Belgrade’s Arena, hometown fighter Stefan Negucić (31, 12-2) will face Poland’s Kamil Kraska (27, 12-3) for the vacant championship.

Negucić earned his title shot with a dominant win over Slovenia’s Uroš Jurišić (32, 11-2), proving with an impressive performance that his best days are still ahead. ‘Stefi’ was also the last man to challenge for the belt, having lost via submission in the second round to the former champion at the very same arena last year.

His opponent is a Polish fighter who impressed the crowd at Zagreb’s Arena with a first-round victory over Jovan Marjanović (27, 9-3) in just three minutes. Exceptionally tough, Kraska will need to silence the home crowd in the Serbian capital if he wants to leave with the belt.

A historic night of MMA is set for Saturday, May 24, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through the Tickets.rs system.
